SiriusXM and TikTok Form Music Channel Partnership

SiriusXM and TikTok Form Music Channel Partnership

Tiktok is joining forces with SiriusXM and Pandora’s Streaming audio division, according to Variety. TikTok and SiriusXM are partnering to host various playlists on Pandora.

TikTok creators will have the opportunity to promote their own Pandora playlist to their fans, starting with influencer Bella Poarch. With 69.6 million followers, her viral lip sync video to “M to the B” is the most liked video on the platform, according to TechCrunch. She also creates videos that include dancing, singing and gaming. Her first single, “Build a B*tch,” was released this month, and it’s now on Spotify’s worldwide top 50 charts and U.S. chart.

Other plans include a TikTok channel on SiriusXM, hosted TikTok playlists on Pandora, and Pandora LIVE events that will be aired again on TikTok. The hosted playlists on Pandora are just the first of the new collaborations to launch.

Other TikTok creators are slated to be featured as well. Sirius XM refers to them as “TikTok Tastemakers,” and they include Christian Shelton and Nick Tangorra, who are scheduled to launch their own playlists in the next few months.

SiriusXM initiatives is also planning to launch TikTok Radio – a 24-hour music channel with tracks that will trend on TikTok and feature TikTok creators, influencers, and DJs.

The Radio is scheduled to kick off this summer and stream across SiriusXM, including in cars and on the Sirius XM app for desktop and mobile.
