A true competitor,\u201d 2K Sports officials said of Bryant, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/thespun.com\/nba\/los-angeles-lakers\/nba-2k21-kobe-bryant-legendary-mamba-forever-edition-cover-athlete-zion-williamson-damian-lillard-ps5-xbox-series-x\">The Spun<\/a>. \u201cWe celebrate Kobe Bryant as our Cover Athlete for the Current Gen Mamba Forever Edition.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The other athletes receiving the honor include Portland Trailblazers\u2019 Damian Lillard and New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson. Lillard will appear on the game\u2019s PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions and Williamson, the next-gen cover athlete, will appear on the game\u2019s Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X editions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bryant also appeared as the cover athlete for NBA 2K10 and as the Legend edition for NBA 2K17. He retired four years ago from the Lakers after playing\u00a0for the team for 20 years.
