All posts without citation will be tagged with a warning label and directed to the official Twitter U.S. election page.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">We may label Tweets, starting on election night, that make claims about election results before they\u2019re officially called.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll be prioritizing the presidential election and other highly contested races where there may be significant issues with misleading information. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BExhZdVMnB\">pic.twitter.com\/BExhZdVMnB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Twitter Support (@TwitterSupport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TwitterSupport\/status\/1323265831904677889?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 2, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This reiterates a previous policy by the social media platform in an effort to cut down on the amount of falsehoods spread. It will also remove posts that incite violence and interference with elections, which applies to races outside this presidential one, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2020-11-02\/twitter-says-it-won-t-let-candidates-claim-victory-themselves\">Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Facebook also <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/fbnewsroom\/status\/1323470181834788865\">updated their policy<\/a> to similar standards and will track a \u201crange of issues \u2026 including reports of voter suppression content.\u201d The platform will remove any attempts to \u201csuppress participation, intimidate voters, or organize to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">These policy changes come after President Trump told his associates that he will declare himself victorious if he appears to be ahead even if the results aren\u2019t finalized.
